M.C. Samuels Logistics is a minority and woman-owned freight brokerage with over 16 years of combined experience in the logistics and trucking industries. The owner, Erica Beckford, began her career in an administrative role before transitioning into dispatch and routing for her family’s truck drivers under the company name “Holt Virtual Assistance.” Over time, Erica’s experience and expertise led her to expand into the brokerage business and create M.C. Samuels Logistics.

She chose to start from the bottom of the industry so that she would have a well-rounded understanding of the logistics industry and what it would take to make sure her customers were not only happy with the services, but excited to work with a company that brought with it new and fresh ideas on how to improve processes and driver retention.

Erica has recently been named “Woman on the Rise” by the Albany Business Review & she has been featured in articles 2x over the last year for the above honors and for her work with PTAC. She is class of 2022 “40 Under 40”. She also works closely with the local Chamber of Commerce to mentor up and coming entrepreneurs and has been named N.Y.S. EAC & ESD (Empire State Development) Entrepreneur Of The Year – Capital Region Chamber Recognized as a Top Performing EAC Center – Capital Region Chamber

Her businesses were also recently featured on News Channel 10 in Albany N.Y. (you can watch the clip below). Erica Beckford is certified MWBE and DBE. EDWOSB certifications are in the final stages of review.
